Junior Service League
Grand Junction, CO
Junior Service League (JSL) of Grand Junction was organized in 1983 as a non-profit service organization. JSL is a service club of women committed to working together to improve the community through effective volunteerism and fundraising. We are active, capable women who are dedicated to making a difference in our community and educating ourselves regarding community issues and leadership.
JSL Members raise funds through community events, such as Viva el Vino, and the sale of JSL’s two cookbooks, West of the Rockies and Celebrate Colorado. These funds are donated back into our local community through grants awarded annually. Over the past 30 years, JSL has awarded over $900,00 in grants and provided over 75,000 hours of community service.
The Junior Service League (JSL) of Grand Junction will be hosting its annual Grant Awards Dinner on Monday, December 7, 2015, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Bookcliff Country Club. JSL is a non-profit service organization composed of women who are committed to working together to improve the community through effective volunteerism and fundraising. This year, JSL will be awarding $45,000.00 worth of grants to local non-profit organizations in our local community. This money was raised through cookbook sales and JSL’s annual fundraiser, US Bank Viva el Vino, a wine-tasting event held at Colorado Mesa University’s Ballroom. This year’s US Bank Viva el Vino will be held April 30, 2016 at Colorado Mesa University again. Tickets will be available for purchase soon.
