The Grand Junction Junior Service League is preparing
for the 11th Annual Walk 4 Life, to be held on Saturday, October 4,
2008 at the Botanical Gardens.
Last year's Walk 4 Life raised $ 70,000 and there were nearly 700 participants. Because of this continued effort
over 1,000 uninsured low income women in Mesa County have received
a mammogram at no cost, since 1998. As breast cancer is effecting more men, Junior Service League has removed the specifications to just allow middle aged women to benefit of mammography screening to aid in the early
detection of breast cancer. The continued success of this annual event
and the yearlong benefits depends greatly on you.

Although we raised a sizable amount of money last year today’s
needs outweigh the income. We can’t meet our goal without
you. Your tax deductible sponsorship of the 11th Annual Walk 4 Life

One hundred percent of the money raised from Walk 4 Life stays
right here in Mesa County. Mammogram services are provided by St.
Mary’s Hospital and Community Hospital who are both sponsors
of this event.
