In commemoration of our 25th Anniversary, the Junior Service League of Grand Junction designates all funds raised this year to be used towards children services, as we dedicate 2008-2009 to the YEAR OF THE CHILD.
Junior Service League (JSL) of Grand Junction was organized
in 1983 as a non-profit service organization. JSL is a service club of
women committed to working together to improve the community through effective
volunteerism and fundraising. We are active, capable women who are dedicated
to making a difference in our community and educating ourselves regarding
community issues and leadership.
JSL Members raise funds through community events, such
as Viva el Vino
and Walk 4 Life,
and the sale of JSL's two cookbooks,
West of the Rockies and Celebrate Colorado. These funds are donated back
into our local community through grants awarded annually. In the past 25 years, JSL has awarded over $600,000 in grants and provided over
10,000 hours of community service.
